Melody is a first-year NSIDP student at UCLA who is rotating in the lab.

She loves all things neuroscience but is especially passionate about understanding substance use disorder.Originally from LA County, she moved to UCSD to complete her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology, where she was studying the connectivity of the mesolimbic pathway. She then completed a post-baccalaureate program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she studied synaptic transmission.

Outside the lab she loves hanging out with her dogs, watching reality shows, writing reviews, and playing games.
