Claire Larson
Claire is an undergraduate Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major and Biomedical Research minor at UCLA. She plans on attending graduate school in the hopes of one day becoming a Principal Investigator. She is fascinated by the molecular mechanisms and neurocircuitry that underlie pain and addiction.
In researching these phenomena, she strives to better understand their inner workings and contribute to theorizing pain medications with fewer side effects. She hopes this work will also form more awareness about and empathy toward people experiencing chronic pain and addiction.
Outside of academics, Claire loves watching movies with friends, visiting art museums –especially the Met Cloisters and the LACMA Geffen Galleries–, and going on nighttime drives while listening to music.
